RODS:THE NEW PHENOMENON OF UNKNOWLEDGE

Polish explorers in sphere of this mystery have found the new objects of interest, i.e. RODS - purportedly luminous flying objects on their photos. You can believe it but this isn´t anything mysterious. The rods are only a manifestation of limited knowledge or “unknowledge“, i.e. ignorance.

A few years ago, there were the similar phenomena observed around the world – ORBS. 

Most of you certainly know that orbs were already explained and tentatively duplicated many times. In spite of this fact, we can still find fanatics who distribute their “bull stories“ about „spiritual energy.“

Now, thanks to these “explorers,“ the RODS have instead become orbs. Again we can meet the ghost theory about their origin, but this is only reflects their great “unknowledge“ of photography and natural processes. Thanks to the modern technological inventions of our age, we are still less and less obliged to understand and to think about their functions and properties. By these inventions, all of us can take the photos, without knowledge about function of camera and about basic principles of optics. 

In connection with this and out of ignorance of nature and its processes, we very often shoot quite common things, which we aren´t able to clear up and so we search for ghosts or the similar transcedental powers as their generators. Sad to say, thanks to this we are on the way back to medieval times.

Look at the function of camera. If we look at the photos of RODS, we can see that they are often taken in a day light with long time of shutter. What are the results of this long time exposure? All moving things are noted on the film or fotochip with whole track of their movement. For example, if you take a photo of butterflay with long shutter exposure, its body will be like roller or cigar. Its wings will be blurred and several times featured on the one long body.

Why? The wings of the flying animals move up and down and its body is still flying straight ahead. It continues for whole time when the shutter is opened. And what is the result? The photo displaying the long wider line (body) with translucent wavy lines (wings) around its axis - RODS.

If we look at photos of RODS, taken at evening or night, we´ll not see the butterflies but their nocturnal neighbors - night-flies or other night isects. If you take photos at night, there are several causes for this “ROD Effect.“

For example, if you don´t use the flash because there isn´t total darkness and street lights are on, your camera must operate with a very long exposure, the time the shutter open, and it creates the same effects, just like photographing of the butterflies in daytime. 

We have to mention another important point - street lights. Flourescent or „discharge lamps“ have a natural stroboscopic effect. This means that their light continually blinks on and off with a frequency rate of 100 “twinkles“ per second. Human eyes are hardly able to note these twinkles (oscillations), but the camera can do so.

If you take the photos of moving subjects with this kind of illumination, the effect of RODS will be ggreater than in daylight. Small, slow flying animals (bats, for example) or insects will be captured and appear like a line and their wings appearing like wavy lines, but more expressive in sections when the twinkle of the light is on their topsides. The quickly flying animal will be "minced" into more of these RODS, which are in one sector (a line of its flight). 

If you use the flash, the effect of RODS can arise too, in spite of the fact that the shutter is opened only for very short time. Many modern cameras have the stroboscopic program. If the photographer doesn´t read a manual carefully or makes some mistake, he can unwittingly activate this program, which is designed intentionally to create these effects. 

But there is one more way that people take these photos. 

Of course, some of the photos of RODS are taken thanks to the mistakes or “unknowledge,“ but most of them are taken knowingly, because their authors want to be famous and interesting or profit by their sale

They don´t take these photos accidentally. 
Their pictures are only a great humbug!

Epilogue:

In all these cases, there isn´t anything unusual on the photos of RODS. They don´t show any ghosts or spiritual powers, only common flying zooids, their wings, their bodies and their flight paths.
